Windows need regular maintenance, how often depends on their weathering, type and quality. Some windows need to be painted every five years and others less often. When glass is around 20 years old or more, it has started to lose its insulating value and then it is time to replace it. Often it is enough to renew the glass moldings and seals on the glass. You also need to consider sealing windows on stone walls.
