Smoke ventilation

In the detection of fire or smoke, the control system automatically opens the window. the opening function can also be activated by a manual fire alarm connected to the control system.

Complete System

Connected to a control unit, the window opens automatically within 60 seconds when a smoke detector registers smoke or a ‘break-glass’ point is triggered, using an electric motor and gas struts. Optional wall switch available for comfort ventilation and rain sensor closing window in case of rains.

Certified Safety

Smoke ventilation roof window (KAS) tested and certified according to EN 12101-2, capable of fully opening within 60 seconds during emergencies.

Wind deflector

KAS smoke ventilation window without wind deflector is used when geometrical area is legally required only. KWU wind deflector should be used when aerodynamic free area is legally required. This may depend on the application and the local legislation.

Window construction

Includes a pre-installed opening motor, gas strut assistance, toughened outer glass, laminated safety glass, double gasket system, and double Low-e coating. Applicable for roof pitches of 15°-60°, with optional wall switch and rain sensor for comfort ventilation.

Roof pitch

Compatible with all roofing materials on slopes of 15 to 60 degrees, requiring original Dakea flashing for proper installation. Not suitable for roof exit or escape purposes.

Max security

Safe guard ensures the window’s resistance to storms and 2nd category hurricanes, as well as superior glass protection against impact from the exterior, including a lifetime guarantee against hail damage for the pane. The inner pane is laminated and has two layers of tear resistant foil. The outer pane is toughened and 4 mm thick.

Thermal Comfort

Roof window with a double low emission coating which reflects heat back into the room. It means heating is more efficient and energy bills are lower.

Durable certified wood

We guarantee that all our nordic pine wood is certified, which is also known for excellent density and increased durability.

Long-Term Assurance

10+10 year warranty for the roof window, and 2 years for the motor and gas struts.
